Mike Taylor, President and CEO, has a 25+ year career in the software industry, with extensive senior management experience in the enterprise software development tools arena. Mike has founded several high tech companies in addition to Instantiations, serving as Vice President of Professional Services at Digitalk and ParcPlace-Digitalk, both leading companies in the Smalltalk arena. He holds a BA and an MBA from the University of Washington.
John O'Keefe, Principal Smalltalk Architect, has been in software development for over 40 years, with the first 25 years spent developing in everything from assembly language to PL/I and SNOBOL. John joined the original IBM Smalltalk prototype team in 1990 and was a founding member of the IBM VisualAge Smalltalk development team. He was Team Lead and Chief Architect of IBM VisualAge Smalltalk from 1997 to 2007. In February 2007, John joined Instantiations to lead the VA Smalltalk development team.
Chuck Shawan, Vice President of Sales, joined Instantiations early in the company's history, and brought with him an established track record of impressive sales and sales management performance, stemming from several years in high-tech and related industries. Prior to Instantiations, Chuck was Director of Sales at Objectshare/ParcPlace-Digitalk, and Sales Supervisor at Creative Media Development, where he worked closely with the firm's high-tech clients. Chuck has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and has done extensive post-graduate work in Forensics at the FBI Academy and the University of Virginia.

Eric Clayberg, co-founder of Instantiations, is a seasoned software technologist, product developer, entrepreneur, and manager. Eric has nearly 20 years of commercial software development experience. He is the primary author and architect of more than a dozen commercial Java and Smalltalk add-on products including WindowBuilder Pro, CodePro AnalytiX, and the award winning VA Assist Enterprise product lines. Previously, Eric was a founder and Executive Vice President of Objectshare Systems, Inc. and Vice President of Development for ParcPlace-Digitalk. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT, an MBA from Harvard, and has co-founded two successful software companies. He is also co-author of the popular book, Eclipse Plug-ins (formerly Eclipse: Building Commercial-Quality Plug-ins), part of the Addison Wesley Eclipse Series.
Instantiations has additional technical staff comprised of seasoned software technology veterans. Expertise in the group ranges across the full gamut of skills needed to successfully architect and build object-based systems.
