FAQ : Platform Support (Linux, Windows) : Q: Why does component/text scaling in my application look so drastically different in a VAST 9.2 image?
Q: Why does component/text scaling in my application look so drastically different in a VAST 9.2 image?
VA Smalltalk (VAST) version 9.2.2 introduced HiDPI for Windows platforms. This means that VAST User Interface components were made aware of scaling. In addition, the long used default font for User Interface Components was replaced by a new scalable font which blends into Windows 10. These changes should improve the look of VAST User Interface Components.
If you have customized User Interface components, these will need to be scalable. You will have to add code to your components in order to take scaling into account.
