Expression Details
Use the Expression Details window to specify an expression for the value in the Column value field on the UPDATE Detailswindow.
You can also use this window to add expressions to the left and right operand lists. This is helpful when the expression you want to use consists of other expressions.

•Select Apply to accept the expression and close the window.
•Select Add to operand lists to add the expression you have specified to the left and right operand lists.

Opening Expression Details
You can get to the Expression Details window from the UPDATE Details window by doing the following:
1. Make sure you have selected the table or view you want to use in the UPDATE clause of the UPDATE statement.
2. Make sure you have selected the columns you want to include in the SET clause of the UPDATE statement.
3. Select the column you want to specify an expression for.
4. From the Column value pull-down menu, select Specify expression.
