abt.ini file
The abt.ini file is in the main VA Smalltalk directory on your workstation. The [NLS Config] section of abt.ini sets the path for .mpr and other files that VA Smalltalk uses. In the [Locale Overrides] section, you can customize settings by adding statements such as language=german and territory=switzerland. To see what settings you can define, look at methods in the CLDT-API category of the class Locale and in the AbtNls categories. Also, look at the getActionTable class method in AbtLocale to see whether a setting takes a string or a boolean, and in the Abt-Locale Settings category for additional information.
A development or runtime image reads the contents of abt.ini upon startup. Thus, your team's administrator can customize team member's development images by defining settings in the abt.ini file. Similarly, you can customize package software by defining settings in the abt.ini file and distributing the file along with your packaged runtime image and other files sent to customers.
