Smalltalk User Guide : Packaging, unloading, and analyzing code
Packaging, unloading, and analyzing code
This part of the guide describes how to package your applications into stand-alone, runtime programs. Both the simple and the more advanced packaging processes are presented.
Also included are chapters on packaging with image components (ICs), analyzing the performance of code, and using the Swapper--a high speed object loader and unloader.
Note that packaging processes for creating stand-alone, runtime programs are covered in Introduction to packaging, Simple packaging, and Advanced packaging and for using ICs is covered in Packaging with image components (ICs). Packaging into stand-alone, runtime programs is the recommended process. Only use ICs if your distribution scheme requires the use of ICs.
