The stored path name of an attachment is derived from the absolute path name of the file at the time the attachment is created. The stored path name is the relative path name without the drive name, volume name, or root path specification.

Attachment path names need not be stored with directory names. In such cases, the stored path name is simply the file name portion of the absolute path name.
