Making a text part read-only
Sometimes you use a Text part to display information. If you want to prevent the user from modifying the text, you can modify the properties of the part and set it to be read-only. For this application, you want the Price per share Formatted Text part to be read-only.
1. Open the Properties window for the Price per share part.
2. Change the Value field for the editable property by selecting the value then selecting the false button.
Note:
By default, Text and Formatted Text parts have their editable property set to true.
3. Click anywhere on the Composition Editor to apply the properties changes.
