Configuration map lineups
A configuration map lineup specifies what configuration of applications a configuration map requires for a platform.
You typically define a configuration map lineup when the applications in the configuration map require different prerequisites for different platforms. For example, a configuration map lineup might specify that a configuration map (MapA) use two required maps:
ReqMapOS/2
Contains prerequisites for OS/2 applications
ReqMapWin
Contains prerequisites for Windows applications
A required map is simply a configuration map that contains applications that must load before the applications in the related configuration map can load. Thus, for an OS/2 system, ReqMapOS2 in the above example must load before the applications in MapA can load.
A configuration map lineup resembles an application lineup in that it can have one or more lineups. Each lineup matches a Smalltalk Boolean expression to a required map. The default lineup expression is true, meaning that the applications in the configuration map are not platform-dependent.
