Dynamic Data Exchange
In this section you will learn how to use the Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) capability of Windows in your VA Smalltalk applications.
DDE enables two applications on the same computer to exchange information. DDE can be used to dynamically update data used by one application whenever data changes in another application. Using DDE you can exchange data between two VA Smalltalk applications, or between a VA Smalltalk application and other commercial software packages such as Lotus 1-2-3. DDE can also be used to send commands to another application or receive commands from another application.
