Loading the image
After files are copied onto a customer's system, the software must still be loaded into the developer's image. The easiest way to load the image is by using the Load Features item of the Options menu in the Organizer window. To use this option, you must enable your parts by either creating config maps or control files for the VA Smalltalk installation procedure. VA Smalltalk is continuing to support control files for existing features. If you are creating a new feture, we recommend that you use config maps. If you are already using control files, please see the VA Smalltalk Migration Guide.
When you create a config map, the name must start with z., then your special prefix (such as "My" for the examples in this book) in the config map name. VA Smalltalk organizes the list of fetaures based on this prefix, for example the config maps for VA Smalltalk features start with z.VA:.
If you have config maps that you do not want displayed in the loadable features list, for example a map that is required by other feature config maps but should not be loaded alone, start the map name with zz., followed by the special prefix.
