Deleting an application
With VA Smalltalk, deleting an application (the software component) doesn't permanently erase it. Deleting merely removes it from your image. To get rid of an application, use the Unload option on the Applications menu. To get rid of a subapplication, use the Delete or Unload option.
Because these options don't permanently erase an application, you can retrieve deleted or unloaded work from the library. Use the Load > Available Application option on the Applications menu to find an application in the library, and then load it into your image.
To permanently erase your work, your library's supervisor must purge it. Refer to the Smalltalk User Guide for details on purging and salvaging an application.
