Purging applications and subapplications
To purge an application or a subapplication using standard browsers, do the following:
1. Select Browse Application Editions from the Tools menu to open an Application Editions browser.
2. From the list of applications (or subapplications), select the application (or subapplication) you want to purge. You can purge more than one at a time.
3. If you want to purge the entire component, skip to the next step. If you want to purge a specific edition, then select the edition.
4. From the Names menu (or the Editions menu if you selected an edition), select Purge. A window opens, prompting you to confirm that you want all selected applications (subapplications) purged.
5. In the displayed prompter, select Yes to confirm the purge operation; to cancel, select No. If you confirm, the system purges the components.
To purge an application or a subapplication using TrailBlazer, do the following:
1. Open a TrailBlazer on All Applications or All SubApplications.
2. Select the application or subapplication to purge.
3. Select Purge from the pop-up menu. A window opens, prompting you to confirm that you want all selected applications (subapplications) purged.
4. In the displayed prompter, select Yes to confirm the purge operation; to cancel, select No. If you confirm, the system purges the components.
To salvage purged applications, ensure that the push button over the upper left pane of an Application Editions browser displays Application Names. (For salvaging subapplications, ensure that the push button displays Subapplication Names.) Then select Salvage from the Names or Editions menu. In the displayed list of purged components, select the ones that you want to salvage, and select OK.
To salvage objects from TrailBlazer, select Library > Salvage, and select the type of object to salvage.
