Importing configuration map versions
Configuration maps define a collection of applications that load as a group or as a complete system. Importing a configuration map version imports all applications and their subapplications released to the configuration map version.
By default, all required configuration maps are imported also. To disable the copying of required maps, evaluate the following in a Workspace or Transcript:
EtTools moveAllRequiredMapsToo: false
To import a configuration map version, do the following:
1. Open a Configuration Maps Browser.
2. From the Names menu, select Import. One or more windows open, prompting you for the location and name of the library storing the component.
3. Enter the library location. If you want to use native (FILEIO) access, blank out the entry field; if you want to use shared (EMSRV) access, type the hostname or IP address of the EMSRV machine. Press OK.
Enter the library name. In the file selection prompter, either select the file that is the source of the import operation or type its full path name and filename.
A window opens, prompting you for the name and version of each configuration map you want to import.
4. Select a configuration map (left pane); then select a version of it (middle pane). Select >> to mark the version to be imported. You can select multiple configuration map versions.
5. Select OK. The system moves a copy of each version from the selected library into the library you are currently using (target library).
