Smalltalk User Guide : Handling team software components : Defining lineups for multiple platforms
Defining lineups for multiple platforms
This chapter describes how to configure components for use on different platforms. As explained in Configuration management, one benefit of the team development environment is that you can configure components. That is, you can group components together and manipulate them as a group.
By configuring applications (or defining application lineups), you can reuse much of the code written for multiplatform applications. Similarly, using configuration map lineups, you can more easily port your work between systems on different platforms.
