Preconditions
To create an edition of a class, the following conditions must exist:
The class from which you create the edition must be an existing class version.
The application containing the class must be an edition. If it is not, the system creates a scratch edition of the application before creating the new class edition.
You must be the owner of the class or have access privileges that allow you to create editions of the class. For example, if the Create Editions privilege for the application containing the class is set to Owner, then only the owner of the class can create a new edition. Application controls describes the various access privileges.
The edition you create will contain the same methods as the class version. You are the developer of the edition.
