Configuration maps
A configuration map is a named group of applications. These applications usually represent a product or one of its major parts.
Configuration map
Configuration maps serve three main purposes:
During development, they enable you to load an entire system. This means you can easily synchronize your components with the released components made by other team members.
Also during development, they enable you to create periodic baselines. Each baseline provides a snapshot of components existing in the system at a specific time.
After development is finished, they enable you to construct a final baseline containing the software shipped as the product release. This means you can reconstruct exactly what was released and diagnose any problems discovered later.
