Release
Select Release to release the selected part to its containing application edition.
By releasing a part, you instruct VA Smalltalk to load that particular part version if anyone loads its containing application. Thus, you release versions that you want to work with in the future.
Preconditions
To release a part, the following conditions must exist:
•You must be the part's owner.
•The part must be a version.
•The application that contains the part must be an open edition.
Basic and full menus
For the Basic Menus, selecting Release releases the selected part to its containing application edition.
For the Full Menus, Release offers two choices:
