Searching the Help System
You can access the search for the VA Smalltalk documentation in two ways:
Select Search from the Help menu
Select Search from the VA Smalltalk banner
To search through the VA Smalltalk documentation, do the following:
1. In the scrollable entry field, enter the term or terms that you want to search for.
2. In the list of doucments, select all that you want to search.
Note:
To select multiple documents, select the first document, then Ctrl+Click on the other documents. The search facility will only search on the documents that you select.
3. Decide how many documents you want to include links to in the search results. The default is 20. You can ask to have as many as 250 or as few as 10.
4. Decide whether you want exact or close (fuzzy) search matches.
5. Select the Search button.
On the Search Results page, the results are ranked in order of how well they match the search term. Each search result is also rated with stars. Five stars are the closest matches. One star indicates a match that is not as good.
Select the search results links to view the help for your search term.
