It can also be used to generate system level tests, and it automates the running of test suites on GUIs. WindowTester captures and records things such as keyboard clicks and mouse movements. It includes intelligent parsing and unique identification of UI widgets that provides feedback to the developer about specific areas of the code. Since the tool generates the tests in pure Java, generated tests are easy to understand, modify and maintain.

DeployingThe RCP Packager™ component of RCP Developer™ has a wizard that lets the developer quickly create an installer package to deliver their Eclipse RCP application files to their customers’ desktop. The installer created by RCP Packager is a stand-alone product — the end-user simply double clicks on the executable and it launches and installs the RCP application so that it is ready to run. The developer defines which code they want to include in the build, including the Eclipse RCP plug-in. The installer created by RCP Packager is a thin shell wrapped around the deliverable code.
