Check Version

This button sends a message to the Instantiations web site looking for a newer version of VA Assist than what is currently loaded in the workspace.  If a newer version is found, then a dialog box is displayed providing options for downloading the new version, viewing the version history documentation, or simply closing the dialog. There is also an automated Version Check task that can be scheduled to perform this check on a periodic basis.

Enabled

This check box enables and disables the entire VA Assist product within VA Java. When disabled, none of the VA Assist menus or functions will be available. If you are evaluating the product and your eval period expires, the product will automatically disable itself and may only be re-enabled by entering in a valid serial number. VA Assist Enterprise Only

Super User This check box turns Super User mode on and off. Super User mode allows a user to modify, version or otherwise use any component in the system regardless of ownership. This feature enhances several individual features of the base VA Java including versioning, releasing, loading and creating new editions, changing ownership of components, adding and deleting classes, user administration, and package management. Serial Number In order to unlock your newly purchased copy of VA Assist and convert it from an evaluation copy into a fully licensed copy, you need to enter your serial number (received when the product was purchased) into this field. You should then see the message "This copy of VA Assist is properly registered". See "Unlocking a Purchased Product" for details.
