Options: Editions

The "Release All
Components" commands can be used with Packages, Projects or
Solutions. On the Editions menu, they can be used to release all of either
the most recent or workspace editions of the subcomponents.
On the Names menu, the command affects the most recent open edition of
the selected component names. If the most recent edition is a version, the command can optionally
create a new open edition if this option is set.
This option determines whether the system creates scratch editions or
new, open editions.
This option determines whether the user is asked whether to create a
scratch edition or a new, open edition.
This check box causes
a quick check for newer, open editions to occur any time the user explicitly issues the
"Create Open Edition" command from the Manage menu or a new
edition is implicitly created as the result of another operation.
Allows the developer to provide an edition-specific
description/comment for any Solution (VAJ 3.5), Project, Package, Type or Method. These
comments are specific to the edition and are not inherited by new editions. They can be
used to uniquely identify an edition in any edition list.
Determines whether the edition
descriptions are displayed in edition lists.
Note: with a remote repository connection or
a slow network connection to a local repository, you may want to turn this
option off as this features
generates additional repository traffic and may lead a slowdown in your
ability to access various edition lists.
Determines whether you are optionally prompted for an edition description when a new
edition is created.
