Added group member management functions at the project level (effecting all packages in
the selected projects). Group members may be added, removed or replaced. The user
replacement function automates a process that happens frequently on large project teams
that is very time consuming and error prone. In order to replace a user, the system must
determine which packages the original user is a member of as well as which classes,
packages or projects he owns. The system must then add the new user to all of those
groups, change ownership of all of the items to the new user, and, finally, remove the
original user from all of the groups.

Visibility of the various user management menus is controlled via the
"Show user manage menus"
option on the "VA
Assist | Layout"
options page.
Note: with a remote repository connection or
a slow network connection to a local repository, you may want to turn this
option off as these features
generate additional repository traffic and may lead a slowdown in your
ability to access the various Manage menu options.
The various user management functions are also
present in the Repository Explorer. Users may be added, removed or replaced and the owners
of all of the selected projects, packages and types may be set.
