In VA Java, Solutions are
normally deleted from the workspace by deleting each of their contained
projects. There is no easy way to simply delete a Solution from the
workspace in one step.
VA Assist
adds the ability to directly delete existing
Solutions from the workbench window. Solutions may be deleted
from the workspace using the "Solutions | Delete from
Workspace" menu. Each Solution that is defined within the repository,
and currently loaded, is listed by name in the cascade menu. Selecting any
of those menu items will delete its associated Solution from the
workspace.

The command determines which projects are
unique to the selected Solution and which are shared with other loaded
Solutions (a "loaded Solution" is defined as a solution which
has all of its projects loaded). If there are any shared projects, the
opportunity is given to delete all of the projects or just the ones that
are unique to the selected Solution.

A "Delete from Workspace"
command has also been added to the Repository Explorer.

Visibility of the various workspace solutions menus is controlled via
the "Show workspace
solutions menus" option on the "VA
Assist | Layout" options page.
Note: with a remote repository
connection or a slow network connection to a local repository, you may
want to turn this option off as these features generate additional
repository traffic and may lead a slowdown in your ability to access the
various workspace menu options.
